Notre Dame Gets 'Two Thumbs Up' From Hargreaves

Irish Sports News reported yesterday that Vernon Hargreaves, 5'11'' 185 lbs. prospect from Tampa, Florida, visited Notre Dame. The unofficial visit to South Bend was a successful according to the cornerback.

"Just got done with Notre Dame! Two thumbs up!" said Hargreaves via social media on Monday. This comment leads many Notre Dame fans to wonder where they are in the pecking order for his services. It seems like that a Top 5 would consist of Florida, Miami (FL), Notre Dame, South Florida and USC.

If that Top 5 is indeed correct then Hargreaves would likely make it back to South Bend for an official visit this fall. Notre Dame did a great job to get him up on campus this summer before they were forced out of the race.

Hargreaves father fell in love with the Fighting Irish. Hargreaves stated, "My [D]ad is more about ND than me...callling all his buddies and bragging about it..."

Having the parents in Notre Dame's corner is important but Irish fans are all too familiar about how this scenario has play out in the past. Maybe Kelly and his staff can get Father and Son on the same page.
