Centerville High School recruit Ifeadi Odenigbo has around 30 offers from almost every major program in the country. He shows tremendous speed for his size and position. After only playing two years of organized football, his ceiling seemingly has no limit.
After speaking with an individual close to the Centerville program, it does seem that Notre Dame is as close as many people believe.
Upon asking about Odenigbo going to Notre Dame, the source said, "Doubt it."
Apparently, Odenigbo really wants to go to a school in warm climate that offers a great academics. The rumor at the school has been that Stanford is his leader.
Many people have pointed to Odenigbo's Catholicism as a reason why Notre Dame is definitely in the competition. The source said that the Catholic thing did not matter.
Odenigbo will visit UCLA, Stanford and Cal in the summer along with Notre Dame.
In addition to the comment's on his recruitment, the source added that Odenigbo is an extremely good person. As for on the field, he has unbelievable speed but needs to add a lot of weight to compete in College Football.
The reasons for Odenigbo may be superficial. However, Odenigbo's interest in Academics and potential visit gives Notre Dame a punchers shot.
