Expectations Continue To Rise For Lynch

The recruitment of Aaron Lynch provided a great deal of expectations for his career at Notre Dame. However, expectations continue to expand for the early enrollee Freshman despite his coach's attempts to dampen them.

Following a great performance in the Blue-Gold game many writers and bloggers have been singing his praises and touting him as one of the impact players in 2011.

Bruce Feldman of ESPN listed Aaron Lynch as the #2 Spring Breakout Player (ESPN Insider Article: http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/blog?name=feldman_bruce). Lynch also made Sport Illustrated's list of "Ten Early Enrollees Who Made An Impact During Spring Practice". Bill Carey of SI.com said, "Lynch was unblockable at times during the Blue-Gold spring game, recording seven tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and repeatedly hurrying the quarterback. The 6-6, 260-pound defensive end from Cape Coral, Fla., appears to be the most ready of Notre Dame's three five-star defensive line recruits. Look for him to be most effective in passing situations." (SI Article: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/football/ncaa/05/23/impact-early-enrollees/index.html).

Despite Brian Kelly's best efforts to lower the expectations for Lynch, they are growing exponentially high. The biggest question is: Will Lynch handle these expectations? He seems to have his feet firmly on the ground and having his Mother in South Bend will definitely help him.
