Twitter has quickly become famous (or infamous) for recruiting notes and tidbits. After the commitment of linebacker Alex Anzalone, Jaylon Smith said that he would now start working on elite cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III from Tampa, Florida.
It appears as though Hargreaves may be listening. He will visit South Bend today. The current leader is believed to be Southern California. The Irish have an opportunity to make an impression ahead of the Trojans. He has a top four of Florida, Miami (FL), South Florida and USC.
Hargreaves is ranked 9th nationally by Rivals.com and the 2nd best cornerback overall. After losing out on commitments Ronald Darby and Tee Shepard, Notre Dame needs a player of his potential and caliber at that position.
Inevitability, Notre Dame will push two recruiting points that no one else has. First, that Hargreaves can come in and play an abundant amount. Second, that he can be on a defense that includes Jaylon Smith.
