Jacob Matuska Film Evaluation

Strengths

Jacob Matuska is a big, physical "big skill" athlete that can play multiple position. Based on his film, he is best suited as inline blocking Tight End but can also play Defensive Line or could possibly grow into an Offensive Tackle. As a Tight End, he shows a great ability to great the ball down the field and possess the ability to be a red zone threat. In addition, Matuska seals the edge when blocking for backs. As a defender, he takes great angles to the football and has an excellent motor.

Weaknesses

Although Matuska is one of the most athletic at the high school level, whether or not he has the athleticism to compete on the next level is a big question. Most of the competition Matuska faces is not top quality. Only small private schools. However, this year he will face fellow Notre Dame commitment Jaylon Smith.
