This is a moment where the ardent Notre Dame says, "I hope Coach Kelly knows what he is doing."
Monday, Floyd was cleared for voluntary workouts with the football team. He has not been completely reinstated but, that seems to be a moot point.
Floyd still must clean up his legal situation following the DWI arrest near Notre Dame's campus this spring. It is expected that some type of plea bargain will be worked out.
Therefore, the good news is Floyd will most likely play every game this season.
But, as many people have said, isn't Notre Dame different? At least it's supposed to be. This is definitely a risk for Kelly is something were to happen. He is closer to the situation than anyone else though.
Notre Dame fans just hope everything works out.
