Spring Practice Start Date: March 21
Blue-Gold Game: April 21
Quarterback Battle. Is it 2011 again? Although Notre Dame fans may feel like it is Groundhog's Day, they will enter Spring Practice with four Quarterbacks (Rees, Hendrix, Golson and Kiel see yesterday's evaluation) again. The big question of course is who will prevail as the starter. However, another question is will the Irish emerge from Spring Practice knowing who their starter is?
The Evolution of the Offense. Chuck Martin takes over as Offensive Coordinator. Martin most recently has coached Safeties but has experience on the offensive side of the ball. Many experts believe that the addition of Martin will help improve the production of the offense because Martin knows specifically what Kelly is looking for. Does the Offense have a distinctly different feel under Martin and in 2012? One item that has been lacking from the Offense recently is tempo.
Cornerback. A few have predicted that Bennett Jackson will emerge as a Cornerback that will be better than Gray in 2010 and Blanton in 2011. Will this prediction come to fruition? Even if it does the Irish will still need another player to lock down the other Cornerback position. Lo Wood, Tee Shepard, Jalen Brown and Josh Atkinson will vie for that position.
