Banquet Weekend Critical For Notre Dame Recruiting Class

The last time Notre Dame had this many recruits together in South Bend, they struck out both on and off the field. Notre Dame fumbled their way to a 31-17 loss to Southern California and may have cost themselves some valued recruits. However, Notre Dame will get a second shot at filling out the 2012 class.

At the Banquet this weekend, Notre Dame will host highly touted Quarterback Gunner Kiel, Offensive Linemen Josh Garnett, Inside Linebacker Schyler Miles, Wide Receiver Davonte Neal and Offensive Linemen Ronnie Stanley.

Gunner Kiel is ranked 17th and 18th overall nationally by Scout and Rivals respectively. Since de-commiting from Indiana before the USC game, Notre Dame has been favored to land Kiel's signature. Can Notre Dame seal the deal this weekend?

Offensive Linemen Josh Garnett is 37th and 28th overall by Scout and Rivals respectively. Garnett is critical for Notre Dame to fill out their offensive line class. A commitment from Garnett would obviously be huge for Notre Dame to build depth. Despite Garnett's seriousness on going to an education, the Irish still have ground to make up.

Schyler Miles, teammate of Nelson Agholor, is coming to Notre Dame for the first time. First impressions of Notre Dame are important. If Notre Dame can convince Miles, will that influence Agholor?

Wide Receiver Davonte Neal is also visiting Notre Dame this weekend. Notre Dame could use an explosive and versatile athlete like Neal. Hopefully, the Irish does well here.

Ronnie Stanley, Offensive Linemen from Las Vegas, became more important when Notre Dame missed on other prospects. A commitment from Stanley would be huge to fill out the Offense Line class.
