Uniform-Gate

Brain Kelly less than formally announced that Notre Dame would be wearing "throwback uniforms" against Michigan on September 10th. To my knowledge, Notre Dame has worn "throwback uniforms" only once. This was the 38-0 loss to USC on October 20, 2007. These uniforms were meant to honor the 1977 National Championship team. These "throwback uniforms" were very true to the original 1977 uniforms.
Therefore, what will Notre Dame fans see on September 10th at 8:00 p.m. on ABC? It should be very similar to the original if history holds true. The 1950s or Kuharich era featured the shamrock on the helmets, which will be a very intriguing change. Here are a few pictures of those uniforms:
