Notes On Current Irish Recruiting Targets


Aaron Lynch
-Visiting Notre Dame this weekend.
-Enrolling early at either ND or FSU
-Andrew's Pick: ND    
-Why? FSU has already begun school. His mother wants ND. He still could choose FSU but I think the odds are in Notre Dame's favor.  


Jake Fisher
-On the record as wanting to take visits.
-Claims he grew up as a Notre Dame fan. 
-Andrew's Pick: Unknown
-Why? Notre Dame has a good shot based on the style of play the have. If Michigan brings in a non-Spread offense coach it will be an Oregon-Notre Dame battle. 


Ishaq Williams
-Intended to make decision at Army All-American Game. 
-Planning to enroll early.
-Was not comfortable making decision because there is some uncertainty at one of the schools and he wants to make sure it stabilizes.
-Andrew's Pick: Penn State
-Why? I think I go against the common belief here but Williams could be referring to Penn State's defensive coordinator Tom Bradley being interviewed by Pittsburgh and Connecticut. It's just speculation. I hope I'm wrong. 


Savon Huggins
-Announcing on Signing Day (Feb. 2) 
-Wants to play early
-Wants to play in an offensive system that would help him. 
-Andrew's Pick: Unknown
-Why? Huggins still has two visits (Michigan State, Jan. 14 and Rutgers, Jan. 21) remaining. Notre Dame definitely has a good shot but will not have the last word. 


Amir Carlisle 
-Currently committed to Stanford
-Wants the opportunity to play running back in college. 
-Andrew's Pick: ND
-Why? Carlisle will choose from Notre Dame, Stanford and USC. With Harbaugh leaving, he is unlikely to pick Stanford. USC is not on record as allowing Carlisle to play running back. That leaves Notre Dame. Will distance be an issue? 


Troy Niklas
-Choosing between USC, Notre Dame, Stanford, Nebraska and Penn State
-Making three visiting in January (Stanford, Jan. 14, USC, Jan. 21, and Notre Dame, Jan. 28)
-Andrew's Pick: USC
-Why? Niklas will most likely choose to stay home in California. Notre Dame obviously has a chance because he is visiting but how will he feel with 36 inches of snow on the ground. 


Brennan Scarlett
-Visited Notre Dame, USC, Stanford, Cal and UCLA officially
-Andrew's Pick: Unknown/Not ND
-Why? Scarlett will most likely select one of the west coast schools and not ND. Distance could really be an issue here.
