Mark Harrell Commits To ND

6'5" 270-pound Offensive Tackle prospect Mark Harrell became Notre Dame's 7th commitment in the 2012 recruiting class. Harrell had planned to continue his recruitment into the summer but decided along with his parents to end his college search. He had picked up an Irish offer at his Junior Day visit this winter.

Harrell is a 3-star, unranked and unranked prospect by Scout, Rivals and ESPN respectively (the remaining three star prospects have not been evaluated by Rivals; ESPN plans to release their rankings on Monday). Harrell had offers from Auburn, Clemson, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, Stanford, Tennessee and Virginia Tech as well as several others. His impressive offer list would lead the casual recruiting follower to believe that Harrell is a very good prospect.

Harrell stated that Notre Dame's strong academic prowess and football program were a great combination for making his choice. He does not plan on my making any other visits but will visit Notre Dame officially at a date to be specified later.
